A craft which flows with the rhythms of nature
Cotton is soaked in a mixture of milk and myrobalan nuts for 3 days (yuppp, that’s why we said patience) to forge a long-lasting friendship between the fabric and dyes. Natural dyes are skillfully hand block printed onto the fabric.
Next, while the soothing waters of River Krishna transform and spread the colours around, sunlight and sand permanently fix these imperfections on the fabric. Just like no day in nature is the same, no two batches of fabric are the same.
In the company of starry skies, we begin our 4 AM journey to the bus station to collect fabric orders we group over a fortnight. So what’s the reward for this early morning expedition of ours? Well, a cup of hot ginger tea and reduced carbon emissions!
This Is The Cherry On The Top. Our entire manufacturing happens within a 5 km. radius! We walk to our unit and are HUGE on sourcing & supporting local - our tailors now have the time to get creative with the craft they’ve decided to lend their lives to.
After many trials, we are proud of cardboard boxes, notes from reused paper and recycled grocery bags to ship orders. And when we run out of grocery bags, folks in Hyderabad comes to our aid with more grocery bags, keeping the cycle going.
I love the Sahara Scarf. I use it as a head cover because it is super light and comfortable. It is also the perfect shape to do many different styles.
The Ilamra team was able to take my measurements and custom make this garment for me. The fit falls very nice on my body. The fabric is very light and soft, so they are comfortable. The pattern is beautiful. I also like that I can mix and match these pieces with other garments. The pants fit perfect on the waist and are looser in the butt and legs, so they are more modest which is what I prefer.
I am very happy with the items and how promptly you got them to me.

Got the Tiers for Days in custom print and loved the fit of it.
I have really appreciated these order updates that show just how slow your fashion really is. To be honest I was a little skeptical when I placed my order—there is a lot of greenwashing out there—but this process has been really reassuring!
Thank you for taking the time to update me on the process. I greatly appreciate your time and that Ilamra continues to notify their clients on each stage of the process. One of the things that drew me to your company is that you are a sustainable brand and operate on a made to order basis!
I wore the lehenga for the wedding and I loved it .
Thanks again as this was only possible because of you guys :)
Thank you, the dress was really amazing and really looked good on her.
Fantastic, thank you so much! I have to say your customer service has been top notch!!
Thanks a bunch for making me feel comfortable in my own skin. Wearing the clothes you custom-made for me, truly makes me stand out.
I'm so glad I came across ILAMRA, a young brand that experiments with Indian handblock prints. The fabric, the prints, the fit and of course the styles - I vouch for it all.
"I've ordered two dresses and a few scrunchies from ILAMRA and I love them! The material is super comfortable and perfect for summers. The custom design and non-custom order both were a perfect fit! I love that they time to answer all my questions and understand my style.
ILAMRA's creativity in incorporating sustainable clothing with mirror and gota work is out of the way. The material is very light and comfortable yet classy! The duo's approach to their customers is very good and friendly. The quality. colours and prints are so eye catchy.
"They make Sarees from Natural cotton fibres and vegetable dyes; these are purely handmade products. If you're going to have a lofty dream, why not it be one that betters the life of others.
